Are you passionate about providing support, tackling injustice and hate crime and being an advocate for change? Are you keen to use your skills to ensure the safety and prosperity of the Chinese, South East and East Asian communities? Volunteer alongside people who feel the same, and inspire more to be active in doing their part!
What will I be doing?
Designing and organising activities based on community needs
Engaging with our communities to draw a better picture of national and local issues that need addressing by listening to individuals and organisations
Liaising with experts who can offer deeper insights into specific issue for effective solutions
Developing partnerships with stakeholder organisations in the public, private and third sectors
Communicating the issues within National Support Centre Team to tackle any challenges together
Keeping a regular record on outreaching progress and suggestions for development
About You
Empathetic, confident, caring, responsible
Enthusiastic, passionate and communicative, flexible with time
Positive team player
Ability to communicate with clarity and purpose both in written and verbal formats in English
Access to a laptop/ computer and internet connection
Now looking for volunteers who can speak one of below languages (preferred but not essential):
Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese), Japanese, Korean, Burmese, Indonesian, Filipino, Tagalog, Khmer, Malay, Lao, Thai, and Vietnamese
